Motor Vehicle Accident Claims

Dr. Peter Munk provides treatment for car accidents injuries such as sprains, strains and whiplash. We do require authorization from your insurer and certain information from you as well. Once your claim is approved we bill your insurance company directly for the care you require whether chiropractic or massage therapy, or a combination of the two. There are a few rules regarding a claim for injury benefits.

• The accident must be reported to the police and the car insurance company.
• The person must be examined by Dr. Munk to determine if the injuries
sustained are a result of the accident.
• Initial findings by Dr. Munk must be reported to the car insurance
  company and a request for treatment is produced.
• The car insurance company will accept or deny the request for treatment
  based on all of the information gathered by the police, the patient and
  the chiropractor or hospital.
• Upon approval, the patient can begin chiropractic care for their injuries.
• All services will be billed directly to the car insurance company.
• The car insurance company will pay for chiropractic services only after the patients Extended Health Insurance benefits are exhausted.
